Boeing to pay $2.5 billion for 737 Max fraud

The US Department of Justice has entered into an over $2.5 billion deferred prosecution agreement with Boeing over “half-truths and omissions” the aircraft maker’s employees made concerning the capabilities of the company’s 737 Max airplane. The case, based on one count of conspiracy to defraud the US, was filed on 7 January in the Northern District of Texas.
